Karla Kay Benjamin is a local artist from Arlington, WA known for her watercolors and for painting on silk. She loves the forest and all of the animals within it. She rides horses (she has a paint horse named Ruger). She loves skiing (as a youth she raced for Team Alpental Snoqualmie and competed in the Junior Olympics in 1985 placing 6th in both days of the giant slalom). She plays the piano and guitar (she has a Chet Atkins). Life is good. As a recent breast cancer survivor she donates a portion of her sales to cancer research and recovery.
